Our Causes

Since 2015, Lexie’s Legacy Foundation has donated to several different causes in the surrounding community. Each of these causes is near and dear to our hearts. Please review the information below for a summary of these non-for-profits.

Gio’s Garden

Gio’s Garden’s mission as a non-profit organization is to nurture and strengthen families with children with special needs (birth through 6 years) by increasing their access to needed services. Gio’s Garden seeks to grow into a one-stop special services delivery organization for children with special needs and their families. Examples could include a respite care facility, professional therapy, client advocacy, and social work/support.

The Levy Giving Fund

Chose kindness, always. As a family, we believe that making a community the best it can be starts with you and a little bit of kindness. We’ve made it our mission to help charities and non-profits in the greater Madison, Wisconsin area, and we invite you to join in our journey.

Ronald McDonald House – Madison

Many families travel far from home and spend several weeks or months to get treatment for their seriously ill or injured children – a long time to be away or to divide a family. And, for children facing a serious medical crisis, nothing seems scarier than not having mom and dad close by for love and support. A Ronald McDonald House is that “home-away-from-home” for families so they can stay close by their hospitalized child at little or no cost.
Our House is built on the simple idea that nothing else should matter when a family is focused on the health of their child – not where they can afford to stay, where they will get their next meal or where they will lay their head at night to rest. We believe that when a child is hospitalized the love and support of family is as powerful as the strongest medicine prescribed.

YWCA - Rock County

The YWCA CARE House is the only child advocacy center in Rock County, providing a safe haven for abused children to be interviewed. Interviews are conducted by a multi-disciplinary team, which includes: YWCA, law enforcement, district attorney’s office, Child Protective Services, Victim Witness, and when necessary, a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner.
The CARE House also provides support groups and resources for child victims of sexual and physical abuse, neglect, witness to a crime, drug endangerment, and human trafficking.

16:49

16 Hours and 49 Minutes: The time between school ending one day and starting the next. Project 16:49 is a local non-profit organization serving Rock County’s unaccompanied homeless teens. We believe every child deserves an opportunity to succeed. To that end, Project 16:49 ensures access to the services and support these students need to remain in school, graduate and become self-sufficient adults.
